7 More Seriously Random Facts About Me (Dance Action Song With Lyrics Included) Debbie Doo

Approx 1-minute read, but be warned, this post does include a reference to stepping on an eel while out kayaking. If you can still find the strength to read on, then please do! 😂

1. Dancing. Yep I love it so much, I do not even have the words to express my love. As soon as I hear a dance beat, I get happy inside.😁

2. Swimming in freshwater rivers. ( I’m a strong swimmer, but still choose to wear a lifejacket as you can never be too careful with currents) Undisputedly one of my favourite outdoor activites, but there is a catch. I have a fear of crocodiles, so even though I swim in The Yarra, with absolutely no chance of croc’s, my “I want to keep you safe at all times brain” likes to imagine them, especially when I am paddling up the river on my body board for exercise. Urggg. When this happens, I take control and sternly remind my brain that I am safe and to please stop bothering me with irrational survival projections. I was also a little afraid of eels. One day while on a huge kayaking adventure, I had a feeling that I was going to step on one, while walking my kayak up a rapid and guess what? Yep, I stepped on one. But it didn’t latch only my leg with all it’s might, never to let go like my brain visualized it would. Oh no. It simply wiggled quickly from beneath my foot and swam away. It turns out it was just as afraid of me as I was of it. Brain, you and I really need to have a chat!

3. Wrestling. Uh huh, you read it right. I even started a wrestling club when I was in primary school. It turns out that wrestling is an especially important part of development as it’s a way to establish bonds while strengthening core muscles. I used to wrestle my kids a lot when they were young. My daughter and I still have fun wrestling every now and then. She thinks she can beat the wrestling master now that she is bigger and stronger. Ha think again Juliet! Now imagine me laughing diabolically…. 🤣

4. I read and research a lot about human psychology and evolution. This is one of my favourite and interesting pastimes. When we know more about our internal makeup and where we came from, it can help us understand ourselves, others and the world a little better.

5. I have a deep interest in the effects of food on the body of mind and love to read as much as I can about it. I will be sharing much of what I learn here. As Hippocrates said:

Let food be thy medicine, and medicine by thy food.

The more I read and learn about this topic, the more I understand the absolute truth and important of these words.

6. I love to laugh. That’s right. Laughing and I go way back. Sometimes if I am stressed or feeling a little down or anxious, I will put on my favourite comedian and laugh myself silly.

7. As mentioned in a former post. I love my stability ball. I believe it the best non weighted exercise equipment you can buy. I do two-minute micro work outs on it throughout the day to keep my blood circulating well and my energy and healthy neural transmitters firing.

That’s it from me. I would love to read some random facts about you, so please leave a comment in the comment box below. I have included my brand-new YouTube video with the lyrics. This one is great for aerobic exercise and full body gross motor movement. Your little ones can follow along with the simple actions. I have used a common move that many dance schools incorporate as part of their preschool classes. So don’t forget to subscribe and share and I’ll see you all again soon. Bye for now. Debbie Doo⭐

Let The Music Move Your Feet
Written by Debbie Doo

Verse 1
Star jump, star jump, star jump, star jump, twist.
Run, run, run, run, run, run, just like this.
Hop, hop, hop, hop, hop, hop this way.
Then turn around and say, hurray!
Let’s dance everybody!

Chorus
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance,
and you will see.
Dancing makes you feel, happy!
Dancing makes me feel happy.
Dance, dance, dance, dance, dance,
oh to the beat.
Let the music move your feet.
Let’s do it all again.
